Dream in Green staff participated at the 6th Annual Southeast Florida Regional Climate Leadership Summit held on October 1 and 2, 2014 in the City of Miami Beach. 2014-2015 Green Schools Challenge and WE-LAB Kicks Off!

Dream in Green kicked off its 9th Annual Green Schools Challenge (GSC), on Thursday, September 25, 2014, with a Professional Development Training Workshop for K-12 teachers, administration and facilities staff at Miami Springs Senior High School. Crafting Sustainable and Resilient Practices at the Miami Design Charrette

WE-LAB Workshops Making an Impact

In nine short months, DIG and its partners, Miami-Dade Water and Sewer and Public Works and Waste Management departments, has successfully held 18 workshops through the Water and Energy Learning and Behavior Program (WE-LAB), touching the lives of 501 participants to date. Dream in Green Recognizes Leader Schools in Sustainability

On May 22, Dream in Green honored the winners of the 2013-2014 Green Schools Challenge (GSC) and Water and Energy Learning and Behavior (WE-LAB) programs. During the 8th Annual End-of-Year Awards Ceremony 78 winning green schools were recognized for taking action, making an impact and living more sustainably.   JustGreen, an energy solution initiative working towards a cleaner planet, presented the first place GSC winner, Robert Russa Moton Elementary with a donation of carbon credits. During the spring, Dream in Green (DIG) received recognition for its excellence in programming work by two prestigious organizations, EarthDay Miami and the Coral Gables Chamber of Commerce. At its fourth annual Green Means Green Awards, The Coral Gables Chamber of Commerce honored DIG the “Green Machine” award for its work as a lead organization in helping schools reduce their environmental footprint and promoting sustainable behaviors including energy and water conservation, waste reduction and recycling.
