Dear Dream in Green supporters:
As Miss Earth Florida, I’m so excited I will be able to collaborate with Dream in Green on future fundraisers and events!
Miss Earth Florida is the state pageant for the Miss Earth competition. I will be competing for Miss Earth United States this July in California. If I were blessed with the national title, I will be off to the Philippines for three weeks to compete for the international Miss Earth Pageant.
Aside from my title, seven years ago I started a group called Teens Go Green in my hometown Orlando. We volunteered at environmental clean ups, recycled bottles at sporting events, and hosted eco-fashion shows. I was able to work with Disney Friends for Change and the Children & Nature Network and be featured on Good Morning America for my environmental efforts.
I learned about Dream in Green last year when I did a project on it for my public relations class at the University of Miami. I wanted to learn more about it because it reminded me of what I did with Teens Go Green on a larger scale. I visited one of their award-winning schools, Coral Gables Senior High and was extremely impressed with their green initiatives, including but not limited to a rain water barrel, garden, recycling boxes, and coral lab.
I cannot wait to see what is in store for me and Dream in Green!
