Alexandra is in charge of the development of the new WE-LAB Broward Project as well as the implementation of WE-LAB Community and WE-LAB Schools in Miami-Dade County. We welcome Alexandra to the Dream in Green team!
We are also pleased to announce the appointment of new officers for the organization’s Executive Board including Ms. Allie Miles serving as Chair, Mr. Jesse Rittenhouse serving as Vice-Chair, Ms. Vanessa Ramirez serving as Secretary and Mr. Matt Flax who continues to serve as Treasurer. Their term starts on July 27th, 2016 and they will add to the momentum as we continue our mission of spreading awareness about environmental sustainability.
A note from the Chair:
Allie Miles: I feel privileged to step into the role of Chair this year. I have served on the Dream in Green Board of Directors for three years, most recently as Vice-Chair. During my time on the Board, I have been amazed by the strong passion shown by students and teachers participating in Dream in Green’s programs. As Chair, I look forward to watching Dream in Green’s sustainability curriculum enrich more lives. Dream in Green translates education into an immediate, direct financial benefit for participating K-12 schools and the community. In the process, students and community residents learn to work together toward a common goal and exemplify leadership and environmental stewardship. That’s a win-win-win! Students participating in environmental education programs are more informed and will grow up to be our future community and business leaders. I am passionate about tackling environmental issues and I’m not only excited to serve as Chair for Dream in Green but also keep busy through my affiliation with National Association of Environmental Professionals.
