MIAMI, FL — September 25, 2026 — Dream in Green (DIG) is proud to announce that it has been selected as a recipient of a 2026 NBCUniversal Local Impact Grant, joining a group of 80 nonprofit organizations across the country receiving a combined $2.5 million in unrestricted funding from Comcast NBCUniversal and NBCUniversal Local.
As one of eight South Florida organizations selected for this year’s grant, Dream in Green will use the flexible funding to strengthen its work empowering South Florida students, educators, and residents to take action on climate change and other environmental challenges facing our region. The unrestricted support will help DIG continue expanding environmental education, building community partnerships, and creating opportunities for people of all ages to develop practical sustainability solutions.

Since its founding in 2006, Dream in Green has reached thousands of students, educators, families, and community members through programs including the Green Schools Challenge and WE-LAB (Water & Energy Learning & Behavior).
The 2026 NBCUniversal Local Impact Grants provide unrestricted funding to nonprofits serving communities in 11 NBC- and Telemundo-owned station markets, including South Florida.
