During the spring, Dream in Green (DIG) received recognition for its excellence in programming work by two prestigious organizations, EarthDay Miami and the Coral Gables Chamber of Commerce.

At its fourth annual Green Means Green Awards, The Coral Gables Chamber of Commerce honored DIG the “Green Machine” award for its work as a lead organization in helping schools reduce their environmental footprint and promoting sustainable behaviors including energy and water conservation, waste reduction and recycling. The Green Means Green Awards recognize individuals, corporations, emerging professionals and others in the community that have placed a strong emphasis on sustainability and green practices.

On April 5th, Dream in Green was recognized by EarthDay Miami 2014, a Miami-based organization founded by Eco-designer Luis Valenzuela of Artsy Productions USA. DIG was honored for raising the level of sustainability consciousness in South Florida. The event, “Better Miami”, was hosted at the BakeHouse Art Complex in Wynwood and was the 9th  edition of EarthDayMiami™. The event raised awareness and appreciation for the natural environment through music, art and design.

Other honorees this year included:

Honorary Michael Gongora, former Miami Beach Vice Mayor and Macarena Luz Bianchi Marketing Consultant and former Marketing Director for Whole Foods Market presented the award to Dream in Green.
