The Chamber’s Green Means Green Awards recognizes individuals, corporations, emerging professionals and others in the community that have placed a strong emphasis on sustainability and green practices. DIG was recognized for its work as a leading environmental organization with a staff of less than 25 that helps schools reduce their environmental footprint and promoting sustainable behaviors including energy and water conservation, waste reduction and recycling. Other nominees in the Green Pro category included Citizens for a Better South Florida and the Venetian Pool.

“We’re honored to receive the Green Pro Award and are so pleased that others are noticing the positive impact Dream in Green is having in the South Florida community,” said DIG Executive Director Karla Utting. “While the impacts are large, many challenges exist for small, local environmental organizations. Support from organizations like the Coral Gables Chamber is invaluable to our existence.”
